My POPSUGAR 2018 Reading Challenge

I came across the 2018 POPSUGAR Reading Challenge and it seems like a lot of fun.  There are 40 prompts to follow, 50 if you wish to try the advanced option. I love that this challenge is giving me an excuse to read books that have been on my TBR for a long time, as well as reread a few classics! If you plan on participating in this challenge I would love to see what books you plan on reading.  Do you participate in a different challenge?

  1. I don’t like planning out my reading that much, but the Popsugar challenge sounds fun and I think I’m going to be joining you. You have some amazing books ahead of you.

  2. This sounds like a really cool challenge and it gives you a lot of room to choose when you want to read it (I am a mood reader, so I usually don’t like to set a certain TBR for my month). I think I’ll join in. 😀 I already have a lot of books that fit the categories… 😀

  3. Wow! High five, Kristin ✋ I came across this challenge this morning and decided to join it! And I see you’ve already planned for 2018 😆 Good job! Happy reading!

  4. I am in theory still trying to do the 2017 challenge but not doing well as I stopped looking at the prompts and now only have about 6 weeks and no books that fit 😂

I will no doubt attempt 2018 but don’t hold out much hope of sticking to it and I’m afraid I haven’t found the Goodreads group much help. It’s kinda cliquey.

      1. The group is quite good for getting ideas for the prompts but I didn’t find there was much chat. I’d post comments to the various threads or respond to others but it felt like I was talking to myself as I got no response and I like a chat.

I definitely need some way to stay motivated on this one as I always start well then wander off.

  5. This challenge sounds lovely! Already joined after seeing it here. I’m not going to plan it out too much though as historically, that has been terrible for me. I think I’ll just take it easy and hope I get through all 50 books. The books on your list sound lovely!

  6. Good luck with this! We both have the same favourite colour! 😀 I read the Color Purple in high school but I don’t think I really understood it. I’m sure if I were to read it again today I’d understand it a lot more; I think I as too young at the time.
My challenge for next year is to make it through half my TBR… I say it now but we’ll see, if anything I hope to make a dent in it! 🙂

  7. Good luck with the challenge! 🙂 I’ve never looked into any Goodreads challenges, but I really should. It sounds like a great way to get a lot of reading done without feeling forced, since it’s by choice!

  8. Great selections, and good luck with the reading challenge. The only thing I’ll point out is that Dead Poets Society is a novel based on the film, not a film based on a novel. It’s still worth a read though.

  9. Doing the PRC this year! The prompts for 2018 don’t speak to me as much though..
There are some challenges on there that I’d rather hide from, haha. So I decided to make my own list of challenges – adding some of the PRC but also some other fun prompts I found. 😀

    Good luck!

  10. Lots of good books on here! Ive always wanted to do this challenge but never have. Maybe I will next year 😀
