The Hanging Girl by Eileen Cook– I just started this one but so far it is really interesting! I am so curious to see where this story is going. I can already tell that it is a perfect book to read in October! Definitely look out for a review in the next couple weeks!

Wild Beauty by Anna-Marie McLemore- This book was just as beautiful as everyone says it is.  Magical realism can be very hit or miss with me but this story is incredible! I love all of the characters and the world building is so on point.  I could picture everything so vividly! Review to come!

Turtles All the Way Down by John Green– How could I not read this book? I am so curious to see what I end up thinking about Turtle All the Way Down. I was not planning to buy it right away but then I watched John Green read the first chapter on his Youtube channel and I was intrigued! Can’t wait to read it!

  1. I’m so excited for Turtles. I’m thinking I may have to rearrange my TBR pile to avoid spoilers. One of my friends finished it last night, he said he was amazing.

  2. I’m so glad to see that you enjoyed Wild Beauty! I really, really want to read that. I haven’t decided whether or not I want to read John Green’s new book. I’ve read three of his other books and only really enjoyed one, but Turtles sounds interesting so I might give it a try. I hope you like it!

  3. I cannot look at John Green’s new novel without thinking his name is part of the title. Every time I see it I think it’s called “Turtles All The Way Down John Green” and I just feel like that must feel weird…💖

  4. I just bought Turtles all the Way Down yesterday and CANNOT wait to dive in!

I just looked up the goodreads synopsis of The Hanging Girl… that sounds very interesting. Another one for the TBR pile!

  5. Gah!! After hating Looking for Alaska I swore off all John Green books but I’m totally getting drawn in by all the hype and am kinda tempted.

Also really want to read Wild Beauty. Looks so good.

  6. I want to read Wild Beauty so bad, I am glad it lived up to the hype! I am actually currently reading the original Winnie the Pooh stories. They are just so cute I couldn’t help myself!

  7. I’m almost finished reading Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban Illustrated edition, so I’m going to just go ahead and say that was the book I finished most recently. So I’m currently reading A Plague of Giants by Kevin Hearne and I’m also reading The Magician’s Keeper by NIcola E Sheridan. By the time I finish both of those it should be the weekend and I’ll be jumping into the books I want to read for the latest session of Readathon by Zoe.

  8. I’m dying to read Turtles All The Way Down! I’m unsure if I want to wait for an audiobook or grab it now, though. I love turtles and John Green. What a perfect combination. Happy reading and thanks for participating in WWW Wednesday!

  9. I was so tempted to buy Wild Beauty at TTBF on Saturday, but I also struggle with magical realism. After hearing Anna-Marie talk in her panel, I wasn’t really drawn to it besides the cover. Maybe I’m being too pessimistic? I want there to be turtles in John Green’s new book. If not, no dice for me. If you promise turtles, you better bring the turtles.

    1. It is a really difficult novel to explain and I think it is best to go in to it not knowing much. It is so beautifully written and has great characters. I think you still might like it if you ever decide to buy it!

I have heard there are turtles! I am not sure how big a role they play in the story though!

  10. The Hanging Girl has been receiving so many rave reviews recently; I’m definitely considering reading it! Also can’t wait for your review of Wild Beauty 🌸
