Favourite book of the year
I have a few favourites this year but the one that stands out the most and I was most inspired by is I’ll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson.
Character you relate to a lot
I have never related to a characters as much as I related to Lara Jean. She was pretty much me in high school! I loved to bake (still do!), was a little naive and quiet, and I would rather have spent Friday nights at home with my family than at a party. The third book is when I related to her the most! A lot of the dilemma’s that she faces are very similar to my own experience!
A character you look up to
Definitely Elizabeth Bennett! I love that she is independent and stood up for herself in a time where it was very difficult for a woman to have a voice. She refused to settle for less than what she knew she deserved and I admire that. She is also willing to admit when she is wrong about something or someone, which is such an admirable quality!
An underrated gem
My go to answer for a question like this is The Immortal Rules by Julia Kagawa. It is such an underrated series! I think people are so over vampires so they do not give this series a chance!
A character that deserves more love
Evelyn Hugo is one of my favourite characters ever! I have seen a few reviews saying that she is arrogant and selfish, which is true, but that is what I love about her! She knows who she is and she does not apologize for it. I hope more people read The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo and come to appreciate her character as much as I do!
An underrated OTP
I don’t really have an underrated OTP! Instead I am going to go with a couple that I wish ended up together…
I was definitely team Gale all of the way! I like to pretend that Mockingjay never happened. Why does the girl never end up with the best friend that she has known for her whole life?
