Happy July everyone! I hope you all had an amazing June! This is going to be a long post so I want to jump right in and talk about all my favourite things this month!
BOOK
I couldn’t pick between these two! They are both amazing in their own right. I have spoken about them all over the place so I will spare you in this post.
MUSIC
Paul Otten- Girl You’re Alright– I have seriously been listening to this song on repeat all month long.
Twin Forks- Cross My Mind– This song is a favourite every month, but this is my first favourites post and I just had to mention it. I adore a lot of their songs!
MOVIE
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales- I thought this was a great addition to the series. I was not prepared to tear up while watching this movie, but indeed I did! There were a lot of great lines that we have come to expect from Jack Sparrow.
Henry: Do you even have a ship, a crew… pants?
Captain Jack Sparrow: A great pirate does not bother with such intricacies.
I have yet to see Wonder Woman, but I plan to in July! From what everyone has been saying I think it will be a favourite as well!
TV SHOW
Reign– The series finale for Reign was this month and I am so sad that it is over! I did not love the finale, but overall this is one of my favourite shows. There are so many amazing and hilarious characters. My favourite is definitely Catherine De Medici- she is so sarcastic and witty.
History is written by survivors, and I am surely that.
BEAUTY
Cheek Parade Palette from Benefit– Not only is the packaging gorgeous, but all of the blushes and bronzers are very wearable!
FOOD
I know this is random but I had to mention these two things, because they were both so delicious!
Pina Vida Juice from ELXR Juice Lab– Healthy, and so so so yummy!
Caprese tartine from Holts Cafe– One of my favourite places to eat in Toronto!

I really need to read The Hate U Give. I keeps seeing such good things about it! Wonder Woman was awesome!! I was afraid to see it since I used to pretend to be her and didn’t want the fantasy ruined lol, but it was fantastic. They really did a great job, so I hope you are it!
That Benefit blush looks amazing…why did you post that?? I have a blush and lipstick buying problem, haha 💄The lipstick is out of control, omg! I have like 40, so I need to go through them and start tossing what I don’t use or might be old! But, I love blush too since I’m usually just a blush, bronzer, sometimes highlighter lipstick, and mascara girl for work and stuff. I usually use Nars orgasm blush and bronzer, Urban Decay’s Naked Flushed palette,
Clinique Chubby Stick Cheek,
or Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush depending on my mood. Now I’m going to go get on Sephora’s website and check out the Benefit blush, lol! I love their mascara, so I should try the blush! Besides, I’m recovering from a painful experience so need retail therapy! 🛍 😉

I love finding other people who are in to makeup as well! The Tarte Amazonian clay blushes are amazing! My favourite blush ever is exposed from tarte! I feel like this benefit palette is a really great deal! I totally get the retail therapy thing! You deserve a little treat 😝

I don’t think I collect anything but lipstick and I’m starting to get bad with shoes! Funny though, I love makeup, but I never wear it unless I have to, lol! I just like to play with it. I’ll have to check out that Tarte blush! I just bought the Too Faced Sweet Peach eye shadow palette, and it smells so good 🍑🍑! It’s really pretty too! The bad thing about retail therapy is I’m going to end up clothes shopping for my daughter who already has so many dresses and things we ran out of room to put her stuff this summer, lol. But after having all boys for 10 yrs, I still go gaga buying girl stuff! It’s so gorgeous! And way cuter than a lot of adult clothes…
The too faced peach palette is so adorable! I have had my eye on it since it came out!

You should get it! I recommend it although you’ll want to keep trying to sniff your eyelids and eat something peach!

Wonder Woman is such a fantastic movie! I’m convinced you’ll love it – it’ll warm your heart so much. And, can I just say that I love that you watch Reign? So few people actually watch it and I always get very happy when I find someone who’s not only watched the show, but has also enjoyed it. Funnily enough, I was having a conversation with a good friend of mine just the other day about how much I wished I could have a Catherine in my life. All in all, I loved this post!

Oh dear. I need to learn how to read. I thought you said “I’m so glad that it’s over” about Reign and I was like: 0.0 HOW DARE YOU?! Because I LOVED that show and I’m super sad it’s over, as well. I wasn’t a huge fan of the ending either. Though, the season finale did follow history and that was a big point throughout the entire show. So, I suppose it had to happen. Kind of wish Mary and Elizabeth had aged less well, though. Mary didn’t look older AT ALL. Kind of threw me off a bit and I wish we’d gotten to know her son. I couldn’t connect with him as a character for that split second he was there. :/
Now, in regards to movies, I personally did not like POTC #5. *sigh* Yes, there were some witty lines in there. However, I’ve seen the two younger actors in other things. As such, I couldn’t connect them to this and they really just didn’t bring the drama and charisma as the original cast. It was quite disappointing in my opinion and I wish they’d left it at #3 (#4 does NOT exist.) Though, I dare say they will be making a #6. After all, who ferries the dead if the Flying Dutchman no longer exists because it lost it’s captain?? o.O
Isn’t Reign amazing?? I just felt like there were a lot of unanswered questions! And it is so true they just threw a little grey in Mary’s hair and thats it!
I have not seen all the Pirate movies to be honest! I can totally see what you mean about the younger actors. I didn’t feel like they had any chemistry! I would be interested in a 6th movie though!
Reign is AWESOME! I’m really sad that it’s over, but it was starting to become a little too convoluted and focused on a few too many characters. So, I think it was good they ended it. It was like they were running out of options for plots. It had a good run (without a horrible season) and that’s what matters. 🙂
Completely agree. No chemistry at all. The love plot between them was so unnecessary, but obviously Barbosa’s daughter had to get together with a pirate’s son. Duh. :p I think #6 could be interesting becuase it looked like it will focus more on Elizabeth and Will again. Thank goodness. Of course, we still need some Captain Jack Sparrow in there, too.

Definitely plan on watching it this month though, along with Pirates of the Caribbean. *fingers crossed* Okay but oh my gosh, that Caprese tartine looks so gooood, I need to visit Holts Cafe one day! 😂
