- Even more thrilling than the first– This book had my heart-racing and I was on the edge of my seat for majority of the time.
- Female characters– I really appreciate how Sylvain Neuvel writes his female characters. They are realistic, with no cliches or stereotypes! Bravo!
- More robots than the first book– My only “complaint” about Sleeping Giants was that I thought there would be more robots! Let me tell you- Waking Gods have more robots!
- Character development– We really get to know our beloved characters more and see how they have grown and changed over time.
Hmmm… I have been wracking my brain here but I seriously can not think of anything I truly disliked about this novel!

I know this review will mean nothing to you if you haven’t read the first novel, Sleeping Giants, which I have a review for here. I just adored Waking Gods so much that I had to talk about it! It takes everything that I adored about Sleeping Giants and improved upon it. The Themis Files is shaping up to be my favourite series of all time!
