The High School Book Tag

The High SchoolBook TagI was tagged by Kelsey @ TheCriticUncriticalBookworm to do the High School Book Tag! Thank you for the tag Kelsey! Check out her blog if you haven’t already! It has been a hot minute since I was in high school but I still thought this would be fun to do!

The Rules:

A+ on the test: A book character that makes you smile?

Louisa Clark from Me Before You– This was not my favourite book but Louisa had me smiling throughout the entire novel! I loved her quirkiness, sense of humour, and fashion sense!

Sports Team: A fictional family that you want to be part of?

The Finch Family from To Kill a Mockingbird– Obviously the correct answer here is the Weasley’s but I always feeling like I am cheating when I choose Harry Potter as an answer. Therefore, I went with the Finch family! Who wouldn’t want Atticus as a father? You would learn so many valuable life lessons!

Class President: A book that tries to make a difference?

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time by Mark Haddon– This book will make you question preconceived stereotypes that we as a society have towards those with behavioral disorders.  A truly eyeopening and moving novel!

High School Sweetheart: A book character you have a crush on?

Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice- He will always be my number one.  I truly adore him, flaws and all!

Prom Night: A book with a beautiful cover

Wild Beauty by Anne-Marie McLemore– I have not read this book yet, and it does not come out until October 3rd. Look at this cover! It so beautiful! I don’t know if I can wait until October!

Spring Break: A book you can always turn to when you need an escape?

Harry Potter by J.K Rowling- Okay, okay I know I said saying Harry Potter is cheating but it truly is the only answer I have to this question! I very rarely reread but I find myself reaching for a Harry Potter quite often!

School Lunch: A book character(s) you want to have lunch with?

Cath from Fangirl- I just think we would get along and have a lot to talk about. I love talking to people who love to read- well duh that is why I started this blog!

Isn’t this illustration amazing? All credit goes to Taryn Knight!

Halloween Party: A character you would like to be for one day?

Elizabeth Bennett from Pride and Prejudice–  There are many reason I would love to be her for a day! She is a strong, independent woman, and I would love to experience the early 1800s! If we are being honest the real reason I want to be her is… Mr. Darcy!

School Bully- A character you wouldn’t want to go to school with.

Dolores Umbridge– Again I am cheating! She is my most hated villain though! I would hate to even be in the same room as her let alone have to go to the same school!

Graduation: A book with a bittersweet conclusion?

Water For Elephants by Sara Gruen- I do not want to spoil it for anyone! The ending is sweet, but wow do they have to go through a lot of hardships to get to their happy ending!
