My Birthday Book Haul!

My birthday was on June 1st and I received so many lovely, and thoughtful gifts! I wanted to share with you all the books and bookish things I was given!vjhjhv

  1. The Hufflepuff 20th edition of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone– Ahhh it looks so amazing in person! I think the Hufflepuff edition looks that best and that makes me proud! **I have since unhauled this book and will no longer speak about Harry Potter on this blog**
  2. Waking Gods by Sylvain Neuvel (Themis Files #2)– I just finished and reviewed the first book, Sleeping Giants, and absolutely loved it!
  3. The Girls by Emma Cline– I have been wanting to read this for a while now! There was a time when everyone was talking about it and I want to know what the hype is all about!hfghghfg
  4. Mansfield Park by Jane Austen (Word Cloud Classics Edition)– I do not own and have never read Mansfield Park- which is crazy because I love Jane Austen! Such a gorgeous edition!
  5. To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee– This is one of my favourite books and my parents bought me an absolutely gorgeous edition!
  6. The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald (Vintage Classics Edition)– This is another one of my favourites, and shamefully the only edition I had was the movie-tie in cover! This one is gorgeous, especially in person!

My parents gave me the most amazing piece of art.  This is a painting of Marilyn Monroe that is done on pages from books published in the early 1900s. Is there a more thoughtful gift than that? They know me so well! The artist is Neil Turner and here is a link to his website! ***There are some nsfw paintings but I love a lot of his stuff and it is pretty affordable!*** I love having original artwork.

I had such a wonderful birthday and I am so grateful to all of you who reached out to wish me a happy birthday! I have only been blogging for a week but I already feel like I am part of the community and that is amazing! Thank you everyone!

  1. Happy belated birthday!! *throws confetti*
You received so many gorgeous editions! I especially love The Great Gatsby one <3

      1. Can’t believe I didn’t know about this. Such a great idea. So many people I could buy these for. Maybe no one will find out until Christmas…

  2. Another birthday book haul! Yay, happy belated birthday Kristin! (It’s fun to read book haul posts, and I can’t really explain why. Erm okay I sound a little weird. Honestly probably because when I get books in the mail or stop by the bookstore my day is OFFICIALLY made. 😂) Also, that art is amazing!! Normal teenagers on their birthday: “A giftcard for Brandy or Abercrombie & Fitch please?!!” Me: *praying my parents bought me books.* What?! I’m running dangerously low on Barnes and Noble gift cards right now okay?!

    1. Thanks Sarah! I love hauls too. Around Christmas I love watching videos and readings posts about what everyone got. Just so fun!

  3. Happy belated birthday! 😀 Amazing book haul!! I really wanna buy Waking Gods and To Kill a Mockingbird! And I am getting the Harry Potter edition for my birthday too ^^I got Gryffindor tho 😛 But I think the prettiest is the Hufflepuff, the yellow and black just look so perfect on the cover! Hope you enjoy all your books! 😀

  4. I’m so late but I still want to wish you a happy belated birthday !! Great bookhaul and great parents you have that they actually know what to give you! I have to come up with ideas for mine every year ;-).

I’ve just finished reading http://www.goreadabook.org/book/1037193578/harry-potter-and-the-sorcerers-stone-enhanced-edition and i’m in love with this book genre. However i love all book generes. Doesn’t matter if it’s romance or novelties. Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone is a great book. Definitely one of my favorites. Thanks
