Dream Book Covers Tag

This is so exciting! Three days in to blogging and I was lucky enough to be tagged to do such a fun tag!  Thanks so much to the amazing Lois @ Lois Reads Books– this totally made my day!  I love book covers! I have read so many great books that were solely cover buys so I am thrilled to share some of my favourites with you.

THE RULES

1. Thank the lovely person who tagged you, spread the love!
2. Mention Tiana @ The Book Raven as the creator of this book tag!
3. Use the original tag image in your post. (However, Feel free to add whatever other graphics your heart desires!)
4. At least tag 1 fellow blogger for this tag
5. List the rules

“Dark and Lovely” A book cover that is so creepalicious you just want to eat it up

Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake- A  haunted house and a girl in a white dress dipped in blood has all the makings for a creepy cover!  I think the title of this one helps with the creepalicious factor!

“Sugary Sweet” A cute cover that is so fluffy you want to give it a hug

Miss You by Kate Eberlen- I had so many options for this one but I decided to go with one of my more recent reads. This cover is just so fun! I love all the colours and the drawings that reference the book! I also think it is so adorable that it looks like the authors name in written in pencil! I love little touches like that.

“The Simple Aesthetic” A book cover that stuns with the most minimalistic of design

168646

Slaugtherhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut- This cover is simple but powerful. I know there are a lot of editions of this novel out there but this one is my favourite.

“Cover Envy” A book cover you wish you had on your shelves, but don’t yet

2motherscover.jpg

The Mothers by Brit Bennet- I don’t know what it is about this cover that appeals to me so much! I think it is all the colours and how it looks very abstract.  I have also heard good things about this books so I need it on my shelves asap!

“Traveling Abroad” A beautiful book cover featuring a country outside of your own

18143977.jpg

All The Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr- This is one of my favourite books of all time.  I also adore this cover! It is set during WWII in France and in Germany.

“The Color Wheel” A cover that showcases one of your favorite colors

25781157.jpg

The Nest by Cynthia D’Aprix Sweeney- This teal blue colour is definitely one of my favourites, especially during this time of the year.  There is something about it that just screams summer to me! Also, gold- need I say more!

“Switching Gears” A cover change you absolutely adore

Anna.jpg

Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins- This cover change was so necessary! The original cover was just too cheesy.  I mean I know you should expect a book called Anna and the French Kiss to have some cheese factor but come on! The new covers are so much better!

“Oldie but Goodie” a favourite cover of your favourite classic

18114297.jpg

Cannery Row by John Steinbeck- Not only is this my favourite classic but it is my favourite book! My dad bought me this edition for Christmas and it is one of my most prized possessions!

“And the winner is…” which cover mentioned above is your favourite?

Cannery Row by John Steinbeck- I mean it is my favourite book! I have this edition displayed proudly on my shelf and I gush over it all the time!

  1. omg I totally agree about Anna and the French Kiss. The new one isn’t even that good, but it’s so much better than the original!

  2. I totally agree with the Anna and the French Kiss cover change! The books look so much cuter now! And you’re right about Eleanor & Park, it’s such a simple cover but it totally depicts the essence of the story!

  3. Eleanor and Park is my favourite book! I love it so much and the cover is gorgeous! I really want to read Anna and The French Kiss. It’s been on my TBR for ages

    1. I’ll admit Anna and the French Kiss is one of my guilty pleasure reads! I still have to read the rest of the series though!

  4. This is such a creative tag, and I love your answers.
I’m a fellow newbie book review blogger as well, so I just wanted to stop by and introduce myself. What you’re doing with your blog is so great!
If you have the time, please check out my blog @breenysbooks. I’d love any feedback. Have a wonderful day.

  5. Hey haha I’m actually reading All the Light We Cannot See right now! (Well not literally..that would be Lord of Shadows; I keep All the Light We Cannot See at school 😢.) Anyways, I always love when people do this tag since I’m a slight sucker for perfect book covers… 💖
